Jill's stall was so busy it was almost impossible to get her undivided attention in order to interview her (see left, meticulously gift wrapping a purchase for a customer). She has been at Sunday Upmarket since it started 3-4 years ago. She works from her studio on Brick Lane and carts all her wares to her stall every week using an amazing giant wheelbarrow that her brother made for her especially (see below!).
She first started hand printing her gorgeous greetings cards and leather purses 6 years ago as a hobby and it's easy to see how it's become so successful. You'll be a bit late now to pick up one of her heart cards for Valentines Day, but why not surprise the love of your life with one for no reason? It would certainly gain you some brownie points. Prices from £2 - 3.50.
Her charming leather purses come in five sizes priced £14 - 35 and would make perfect birthday presents. All are printed by hand by Jill.
"I love having my stall in Sunday Upmarket because there's no crap here - a lot of people make their own stuff".
